About the role:

The Painter will report directly to the Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor.

This role is located in Scarborough, Canada.

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare surfaces using processes such as sanding, scraping and grinding.
Experience with electrostatics.
Monitor extractors, drying fans, and heaters.
Board and mask material.
Ensure all paintrelated waste is properly labelled, stored, and disposed of.
Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
Ensure the job meets all requirements before leaving the work cell.
Meet or exceed established production levels.
Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., IATF, ISO 14001)
Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma or GED.
Capable of working collaboratively and effectively with others.
Personal commitment to highquality standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to formulate positive interpersonal relationships.
Perceptive, responsible, and accountable.
Team player.
Prior experience in spray painting in an industrial paint booth environment.
Must have paint and electrostatic experience.
Must have the ability to use small hands and power tools.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Experience with overhead cranes.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
