- Reporting to the Program Director, oversee the performance and day-to-day operations of the Program to ensure effective delivery of student support and related services
- Build and lead the Program's student success teams, with direct line management responsibility for several staff members as enrollment scales
- Deliver the highest level of student experience and achievement before arrival, during, and beyond the program
- Lead development, coordination and delivery of student support programs, including workshops, community events, tutorial sessions, and peer support programs
- Enhance student experience by collecting, reporting and acting on student feedback
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing, supporting progression to the student's chosen degree at the University of Alberta
- Maintain and develop relationships with University of Alberta, recruitment teams and Foundation Program instructors
- Support recruitment activities including facilitating campus visits for agent partners, overseas team members, and other guests as required
- In collaboration with the Program Director, manage operations to meet targets within timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with YOFP management to liaise with university instructors for information on student success, progression, and interventions
- Work with KI finance teams to ensure student accounts are in good standing for progression
- Ensure data accuracy in university-provided systems to support operations and reporting
- Implement quality assurance systems within the Program in line with Kaplan and University rules and regulations
- Contribute to senior steering for Kaplan International Pathways Canada and participate in Kaplan Pathways-wide projects
- Represent Kaplan on relevant committees and boards
- Perform other duties as required by the Director and senior leaders
- A university degree in a related field (required)
- Minimum two years' experience directly managing a team in a similar setting
- Experience in student success in education or high levels of customer service in related sectors
- 2-3 years of experience supporting international students, student life, and working in a cross-cultural environment
- 2-3 years of experience providing student-centered advising
- Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Commitment to student- and/or customer-centered delivery
- Excellent relationship management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong program planning, project management, and workshop facilitation skills
- Excellent teamwork skills, both as a leader and as a contributor to cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of improving and enhancing performance of teams and operations
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- One or more foreign language abilities

Job Title: Student Success Supervisor - University of Alberta (10 month, benefitted position)
Note: This is a 10-month position, but with benefits and paid time off during the 10-month period.
About The Position
The Student Success Supervisor is a leadership role within the Year One Foundation Program. The incumbent will design and deliver a comprehensive student support framework that promotes academic success, personal wellbeing, and engagement. The supervisor ensures high-quality, culturally responsive support for international students from pre-arrival through their first year of study. Responsibilities include strategic planning for student success, progression monitoring, escalation pathways for wellbeing and academic concerns, collecting and analyzing student feedback, reporting outcomes to sponsors, and developing workshops tailored to the needs of international learners. A key component is staff leadership: managing a team of Student Success Advisors and overseeing orientation, communication, engagement programming, advising and transition support, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance oversight.
