    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will operate their own vehicle to haul freight between our terminals in Western Canada.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicableActs and regulations
    • Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
    • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions
    • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.

    Work Schedule/Shift

    Full time runs hauling predominantly overnight hours.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Class 1 driver's license
    • Clean COMMERCIAL driver's abstract
    • Basic geographical knowledge of Western Canada
    • Professional attitude in all interactions representing the Company
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Available to work full time
    • MUST have minimum of 2 years or verified 150,000 kms experience
    • MUST have or be willing to obtain LCV certification

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Wage is by mile with extra add on for wait time or drops
