The Part-Time Program Coordinator at Night Hoops Basketball Society is vital in delivering and building the overall structure of our program.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator's external-facing role champions our members' excellent work in collaborating directly with Youth, Coaches and Youth Workers in each community centre.

This role is suited for people with a good knowledge of the sport of Basketball, who are dynamic, enthusiastic, and ready to take the lead on the court every time to serve our members.

Education & Qualifications

Taking or completing a degree or diploma in Physical Education, Sport and Recreation, Kinesiology, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent.

• Experience coaching/leading youth Basketball teams. Playing experience will be considered.
• Valid NCCP certifications in Coaching would be a significant asset.
• Standard First Aid Certification and CPR training.
• Valid Driver's License with no atfault accident.
• Clear and uptodate Vulnerable sector check.
• Evening and weekend availability is required as games and practice will occur at these times.

Part-Time Program Coordinator - Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all coaching development; coach education planning and facilitation, NCCP certifications coordination, toolkit development, quarterly feedback & evaluations, coach mentorship, and assist in coach recruitment & hiring.
• Attend practices & games to support the program and coaches.
• Assist with snack pickups and delivery to Community Centres.
• Plan and organize the Night Hoops practices, league games, tournaments, and field trips.
• Serve as a liaison between Night Hoops sites, administrators, coaches, athletes and youth workers.
• Other duties as required.

Job Conditions
Job is performed in a school and recreation setting. Still, please consider the work setting may vary depending on the projects (field trips, camps, etc.)
This is a Part Time Fixed Term Contract with the potential to extend or become a Permanent Employee:

• Start Date: January 8th, 202
• End Date: April 19th, 2024
• Hourly Rate: $25/Hour

Hours Per Week: 10-15
