The Procurement Analyst Intern is tasked with planning and executing the sourcing and vendor management activities underpinning the procurement of goods and services defined within particular sub categories and against less complex or more transactional sourcing files and vendor relationships.


Reports to:
Manager, Category Management


Key Accountabilities:

  • Work and partner with Category Managers / Advisors, supporting in the negotiation of contracts, including commercial and noncommercial terms
  • Liaise with suppliers, business leads and various internal stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Collect and evaluate information about potential suppliers
  • Work with legal counsel as well as crossfunctional areas of the organization to ensure contracts and agreements meet TMX policies and standards
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
  • Collaborating with enterprise risk and information security to deliver proper due diligence reviews
  • Actively support Request For Information/Request For Proposal /Request For Quote, bidding, supplier selection, and negotiate a process for suppliers as needed

Must haves:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a business related field
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building, client centricity and influential skills
  • Delivering results with a sense of urgency and putting clients first
  • Adhering to policies & procedures to deliver consistently and within best practices
  • Tech savvy; experience with Microsoft Office & Google Suite
