Job Description:


  • The Brookfield Private Equity Group's Director or VP of Business Technology will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of technology solutions across our portfolio companies. This includes ensuring our portfolio companies' information and technology are secure and can support the company's growth goals.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Provide guidance and technical advisory services to portfolio companies globally in technology projects, strategies, and roadmaps.-
  • Identify and advise to mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks across all portfolio companies.-
  • Provide guidance and advisory services for technology projects, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Identify and quantify IT risks across the portfolio companies and effectively communicate to Brookfield stakeholders.
  • Leverage Brookfield enterprise agreements and corporate standards where appropriate.
  • Communicate with service providers to align with Brookfield standards.
  • Lead and have accountability over the cybersecurity program compliance and overall security of information and technology across portfolio companies.
  • Report on information security / cybersecurity risks and trends and their impact on portfolio companies.
  • Identify and provide guidance to realize valuecreation opportunities leveraging technology across portfolio companies and at Brookfield.
  • Skills & Qualifications years of IT experience in supporting and delivering complex enterprise environments. Comprehensive enterprise architecture and IT transformation delivery leads are considered assets.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent background
  • Must be technically proficient in IT Applications, IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, and Cybersecurity.
  • Must be able to effectively work with IT technical experts and CxOs to document, analyze and recommend technology solutions to deliver business profitability and effectiveness
  • Must have strong business and consultative skills to advise executives making longterm business to deliver overall business success
  • Experience and proven capability to transition technology organizations in companies being acquired or merged
  • Experience in Information Technology environments operating best practices offerings, including execution, deployment, and incident resolution.
  • Proven track record of ensuring the delivery and implementation of IT solutions where a scope is effectively managed and delivered on time and on budget.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in solving people and process issues first prior to implementing new technologies.
  • Experience in delivering through managing and overseeing thirdparty service providers and business & commercial governance.
  • Must have knowledge of cybersecurity, cyber risks, and practical remediation activities and solutions.
  • Must have strong awareness and experience in IT audit and compliance management.
  • Knowledge of prevailing industry trends, such as Advanced Data Analytics, ML, AI, Cloud Infrastructure, and IoT, is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability and initiative, where independent thinking and action is a constant
