- Provide leadership to the Produce team in creating a customer experience that makes a difference in our members' lives.
- Responsible for achieving the financial results and budgeted objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, and profits within established guidelines.
- Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, engagement, training, and professional development of team members.
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operation are met including merchandising, inventory control and sanitation.
- Actively participate and provide subject matter expertise in the development of marketing programs, advertising and promotional activities that maximize produce sales and meet the needs of the team.
- Lead the safety culture of the department, including the coordination and oversight of all health and safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.
- A Grade 12 Diploma; post-secondary general business education is an asset.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
- An ability to handle multiple demands and can be adaptable, organized, and efficient.
- Customer service-focused and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
- Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
- Can fulfill physical job requirements including extended time on one's feet and manual labour.
