Your opportunity:


The Office of the Faculty Registrar works closely with departments and colleges at the University of Toronto, concerning virtually all matters relating to Arts and Science students.

Our department members are dedicated to aiding all students to the greatest extent to make their university experience as smooth and seamless as possible.

We coordinate personal, financial, and academic counselling, registration and enrolment, student records, transfer credit, petitions, final
examinations, and graduation.


Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Relationship Management and Events, theRecruitment Officer - Relationship and Event Management plans and implements events, updates online content and utilizes the Faculty's constituent relationship management system (CRM) to assist the Faculty in meeting its undergraduate recruitment and enrolment goals.

).

In all cases, the position involves close contact and cooperation with the 29 departments and seven colleges in the Faculty, the central and divisional student recruitment teams, as well as high school teachers, school counsellors, students and parents.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Delivering student recruitment presentations and representing the Faculty and the University at schools, fairs, and oncampus and regional events where appropriate, and will give presentations on the Faculty and U of T to large groups of prospective students and parents
  • Promoting programs at recruitment events, including development, promotion and execution of the Faculty's domestic recruitment and applicant events, including the Faculty's presence at the Ontario Universities' Fair, Fall Campus Day, Fall Preview, and regional applicant events both in and outside of Canada, the Campus Tours PLUS program, and virtual events such as livestreams and chats across Canada.
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials. by updating Future Students and Newly-Admitted Students sections of the Arts & Science website accurate and uptodate, and participating in the recruitment communications working group to ensure that both online and hardcopy recruitment materials are disseminated to target markets in a strategic manner.
  • Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
  • Keeping wellinformed on University programs, policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' of recent and related experience in an undergraduate student recruitment and/or admissions environment within a large postsecondary institution
  • Experience with data collection and generating reports
  • Experience in developing online communication strategies is required. Proven event planning experience in a large, postsecondary institution for recruitment purposes required
  • Demonstrated experience counselling and advising prospective students and parents on academic matters
  • Experience developing and presenting content to diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated experience using content management systems.
  • Welldeveloped project management and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Welldeveloped project management and problemsolving skills.
  • Facility with statistical data.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

Assets (Nonessential):


  • Experience and knowledge of University of Toronto policy and procedures
  • Experience with CRM database
  • Experience creating and editing HTML and CSS code preferred.
