HOURS:
After school programming - hours vary depending on program schedule


JOB SUMMARY:

The Indoor Soccer Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating an indoor soccer program
for grade 5 and 6 students as part of the after-school program at Glenwood School. The coordinator will create a safe, fun, and
inclusive environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and skill development.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Instruction & Coaching
  • Instruct participants in soccer techniques, rules, and strategies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
  • Divide grade 5 and 6 students into two teams of equal ability and ensure equal playing time for all students.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment, emphasizing fair play and sportsmanship.
Scheduling and Logistics- Organize equipment and facility logistics, ensuring all necessary resources are available.

  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to participants and their families.
Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with participants and their families regarding programming.
  • Address any questions or concerns from parents/guardians professionally and promptly.
Safety & Supervision

  • Ensure the safety of all participants during games within the Glenwood School Gymnasium.
  • Supervise and manage student behavior to maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience in coaching and instructing soccer, preferably with elementary school students.
  • Knowledge of soccer rules and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive learning environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required).
