KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • To provide preventative maintenance and with the frequency as required to the building systems and components which are within your capabilities.
  • To respond, on a timely basis, to Tenants request for repairs and maintenance.
  • To ensure the building, building grounds and building systems are kept in good state of repair.
  • To ensure that purchasing policy and procedures as prescribed by the Employer are strictly adhered to.
  • To conduct both incoming and outgoing inspections of Tenants apartment units and to ensure that the restoration of vacant units are completed with the least amount of time.
  • To monitor and supervise the work of contractors to ensure their work and performance meets the requirements of their contract or agreements.
  • To restorer vacant apartments to make ready for rerenting. The work is to be performed in the least amount of time to minimize rental loss.
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Property Manager from time to time.
  • Ensure Resident satisfaction and to always be pleasant, respectful, and courteous in you're dealings with residents.
  • Handle all resident complaints quickly and professionally.
  • Communicate with residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in the prompt collection of rent and all other monies owing to the landlord.
  • Distribute landlord notices and correspondence to tenants.
  • Utilize the forms used in the rental process, the recording and depositing of rental payments, the ordering of supplies or for any other purpose and are to be filled out completely, accurately, and legibly.
  • Rent or assist in the rental of existing or future vacancies to prospective tenants.
  • Make bank deposits at the designated financial institution of the Employer. The deposit shall be made to efficiently deposit upon receipt the maximum daily deposit.
  • Inspect daily the exterior and critical interior areas of the building.
  • To assist with other building staff to maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness through out the building, vacant suites and all common areas including the underground garage.
  • To change compactor bins attached to the trash compactor when full and position and make ready the full bins for emptying by the City of Toronto
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in building maintenance, property management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary:
$35,000.00 per year
