About The Employer


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to join our client, an established and growing construction company that specializes in residential, ICI, Restoration and TI projects.

They have a number of current and upcoming projects in their pipeline and are searching for a Superintendent with 5+ years of experience working on related projects.


About the Opportunity


As the Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for total project delivery of planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring safe work procedures with WorkSafe BC regulations and company Occupational Health and Safety policy
  • Verifying discrepancies among documents and inconsistency between drawings and other contract documents to solve conflicts and avoid work delay onsite
  • Preplanning the execution of the project by assigning human resources, equipment and materials, and coordinating subcontractors' work to maintain productivity, schedule and quality
  • Checking geometry of works including directions and elevations, and controlling the quality of structural works including but not limited to excavation, shotcrete, shoring, inspecting concrete formwork and reinforcing, concrete pours, and structural steel installation
  • Monitoring selfperformed work and subtrade work for compliance with Project Documents
  • Estimating work quantities and recording actual data to control cost and progress of the project
  • Arranging required Engineer and City inspections, and collecting the required inspection reports
  • Verifying the accuracy of CCN's, CD's, Change Orders (CO), and SI's and directing action on them
  • Preparing, reviewing and directing action on all RFI's
  • Developing lookahead schedules
  • Reviewing subcontractor shop drawings
  • Chairing subcontractor/General Contractor meetings
  • Preparing daily site reports and following up on action items

About You

Experience and other requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in new construction (residential and/or commercial)
  • Possess knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling and quality control
  • At minimum an intermediate user of MS Project, Word, Excel, and Procore
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven performance in leadership and managing people
  • The applicant needs to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately
  • Able to manage a large workload and perform in a fastpaced environment
  • Possess a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Be result driven with a proven track record of accomplishments
  • A University or College degree and/or Carpentry Red Seal is beneficial

About The Compensation

  • Annual salary up to $120,000
