Job Description:


  • Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management, the Manager, Portfolio Management will work with the country operating businesses to assess, understand and mitigate key business risks

More specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist investment teams in performing due diligence on potential acquisitions in accordance with Brookfield Renewable's standards.
  • Work with the operating businesses to effectively integrate acquisitions with Brookfield Renewable's standards (i.e. Code of Business Conduct, Antibribery and corruption (ABC), Cybersecurity, ESG and internal control framework).
  • Assist in leading the organization's Antibribery and corruption program, including ensuring that policies and best practices are being followed across all operating businesses, identifying ABC risks, overseeing compliance with the training program.
  • Design and implement new policies and procedures to address key business risks and evolving industry standards.
  • Where appropriate provide necessary training on the key Brookfield Renewable standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of external reporting on sustainabilityrelated topics to stakeholders.
  • Support the Internal Audit program, including reviewing reports that are produced by the Internal Audit group, understanding observations and recommendations raised during the reviews, and working with internal stakeholders to ensure remediation plans are completed in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships with external advisors who may assist from time to time.
  • Requirements_
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and implementing appropriate controls in a practical manner;
  • Practical experience with performing risk assessments and enhancing controls related to governance;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize deliverables to meet deadlines, while remaining flexible and responsive to ad hoc requests and projects;
  • Ability to work in a team setting and collaborate with team members across the organization in various geographical locations;
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written) in English;
  • Experience working in a business advisory role within a publicly listed company across different countries is an asset but not required; and
  • Experience working with ESG frameworks is an asset but not required.
  • Qualifications_
  • Professional designation (CPA or CA)
  • Four to six years of relevant progressive work experience, in a business advisory/audit/consulting role
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, problemsolving ability, and ability to work independently
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and SOX internal control programs
