SALES ASSOCIATE

FULL-TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers.

Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking and staying current with trends in the industry.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must move merchandise weighing up to 30 kg

Help unload incoming trucks.

Assist customers in locating merchandising in store

Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriate.

Assist customers with carrying out of large or heavy items.

Follow procedures and maintain standards according to store policy in the following areas: loss prevention, receiving and pricing goods, merchandise handling and presentation, housekeeping, reordering merchandise and restocking shelves

Change prices on merchandise, bins, displays, etc. as necessary.

Keep stock in storage area neat, clean, and orderly.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers.

Excellent communication skills.

High School graduation or equivalent.

Willingness to learn.

Prior retail experience beneficial.

Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere

Must move merchandise weighing up to 30 kg from receiving area and place it on shelves.


Salary:
$15.50-$16.50 per hour


Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
