What will you do
Supporting all brands and franchises, the Manager, Major Programs is responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects and programs by leading large cross-functional teams.
The Manager, Major Programs is responsible for delivering complex supply chain change initiatives including product re-sites and reformulation projects involving multiple formulas, line-wide graphics updates across brands, compliance improvement initiatives and other supply network or product optimization projects.
- Coordinates the delegation of subprojects to other project leaders as required.
- Plans and leads kickoff meetings, clarifying individual roles and responsibilities and defining expectations and success factors for the team.
- Works closely with Finance to accurately project all financial elements of the project including capital investment, outofpocket expenses and costimprovement benefits.
- Effectively identifies and mitigates project risk to accomplish project objectives.
- Ensures adherence to global governance processes for their project portfolio. Performs all system updates as required.
- Documents and communicates project timelines to team members, sponsors and business partners.
- Communicates project status and followsup on key deliverables. Updates senior management on progress and elevates issues as required.
- Conducts project closeout and lessons learned. Celebrates success and provides recognition to the team.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- University degree (Engineering, Science or Business an asset)
- 23 years of previous project management required
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through influence rather than authority and build collaborative relationships is required.
- Proven analytical capabilities required to verify accuracy of reporting and develop interpretive insights for senior management.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Communicates effectively to senior leaders to keep them informed of progress and to raise issues for resolution.
- Familiar with key business enterprise systems like SAP, Cognos BIW, Tableau and Planisware.
- PMP, APICS or equivalent certification
- Experience in manufacturing, QA or R&D
- Postgraduate degree an asset.
