- Intervene directly with the shift organization and the business team accountable on any issues that are not in compliance or have the potential of not being in compliance
- Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to independently devise new/modified methods and approaches or develop new/modified processes, to resolve non-routine needs or problems
- Complete regular field checks to monitor plant performance
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues of the operating unit
- Complete equipment start-up and shutdown activities
- Location - Fort Saskatchewan/Edmonton
- Day shift and night shifts, 12 hr shifts
- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
- 5 years of working experience as a Power Engineer
- Fourth Class Power Engineering ticket
- Ability to interpret Alberta Safety Code Regulation, which includes ASME Codes and others
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
