DXP/Natpro is looking for a
Shop Service Technician to join our team to perform shop Inspections, repairs, field services/repair, start-ups and site commissioning, and someone with great customer service to also provide warranty resolution/ administration for the Eastern provinces.
This position is full-time and will be located in our Brampton, ON office.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Being responsible for daytoday functions related to Service Inspection and Repair, Startups and Site Commissioning, chargeable shop and field service, and Warranty resolution/ administration (risk management).
- Responsible for shop fabrication and assembly (production orders) for Pumps/compressors, motors, engines, alignment, and baseplates.
- To be a key point of contact for Customers, DXP/Natpro internal organization, Represented Manufacturers, and Sub suppliers as they relate to After Market Service and Warranty matters that you are assigned.
In this role, you will,
- Be a point of contact for the Customer on service and warranty related matters assigned to you.
- Be responsible for inspection of pump and / or compressor equipment.
- Field Service Inspection and Repair as assigned
- Liaison between the various contractors and service support team.
- Prepare comprehensive shop and field service reports for submission to end users, DXP/Natpro Represented Manufacturer's and internal departments.
- Prepare all the required system documents towards ensuring effective and efficient quotation and order processing.
- Provided superior product support (including warranty), to DXP/Natpro Represented Manufacturer's installed population of pumps and compressors.
- Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, costing, specific requirements, and warranty support for orders assigned to you.
- Maintain Service vehicles, Service tools and supplies assigned to you.
- Work closely with Technical Services to provide input and support related to customer process and issues.
Required Experience and Education:
- Five years' experience working within an After Market Service Department in rotating equipment, preferably pumps, motors and drives.
- Technical education and background, (Journeyman ticket or equivalent rotating equipment experience is an asset)
- The ability to understand, implement and practice the principals of root causes failure analysis.
- The ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. (With a focus on technical) and ability to read and comprehend complex technical documents translating factual information into clear and comprehensive recommendations, and proposed solutions.
- Superior organizational skills, a selfstarter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
- The ability to facilitate solutions between customers and represented manufactures.
- Better than average computer skills, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- French not required
