Description

Established multi-site childcare operator seeks an experienced permanent part time split shift Assistant Teacher for the FDK program at our Baycrest Child Care Centre location.


Qualification Required:
Assistant Teacher, or Equivalent. Valid First Aid/CPR, clear Vulnerable Sector Check, up to date medical exam including immunizations.


Skills Required:

> Must have knowledge of Childcare operations and an ability to comply with all the requirements from CCEYA/AQI/ICSG and TDSB Policies and Procedures including ICSG Code of Conduct.

> An experienced, warm and energetic individual who has the ability to work with SA Children.

> Must possess strong initiative and organizational skills and have a positive attitude.

> Is dependable and flexible and arrives for the scheduled split shifts on time.

> Is able to communicate effectively and professionally with Children, Staff and Parents, ICSG Management, TDSB and any other Governing Agencies involved as per the Supervisor instructions.

> Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a team, must be able to follow up on the Lead teacher's and Supervisor's instructions.

> Has the ability to handle a SA Program and is able to maintain Room control.

> Must be able to work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher by sharing observations, contributing to the assessment of Children, as per Ministry of Education Guidelines.

> Must be able to set up the Program activities twice daily and modify areas/room set-up and to make immediate changes to Program delivery with short notice of room change, if TDSB requires the space.

> Must be available to attend TDSB Early Learning Team meetings, TDSB Curriculum Night, and any special SA related events.


Hours of work:


Split Shift > During the School Year: 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.


During Summer, P.A.


Days, March and Christmas Breaks:

8 hours per day
