Reports to:
Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager
About the Position:
This position is responsible for assisting with Accounts Receivable functions for the ALS Group in North America.
Specific Responsibilities
- Importing and posting of client invoices;
- Processing of credit card transactions through an online service;
- Maintaining credit card spreadsheets;
- Preparation and posting of cheque, EFT and credit card deposits;
- Processing monthend statements and mail out;
- Processing overdue account letters and mail out;
- Assisting with contacting clients regarding overdue accounts and following up to ensure payments have been made;
- Observing established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
- Performing other duties as assigned by department manager/supervisor.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
- High level of diligence and attention to detail;
- Computer literacy using Excel spreadsheets and Word;
- Possess previous knowledge of computerized accounting system;
- Strong ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities;
- Flexible and has the ability to assist in other areas of the finance department;
- Ability to accurately follow instructions;
- A positive, teamplayer attitude with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Completion of 1st year business courses required;
- Accounting or Finance focus preferred;
- Telephone experience would be an asset.
- Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
- Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day;
- Manual dexterity to do repetitive tasks such as data entry.
