Cellula is hiring an experienced
Health & Safety (HSSE) Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the Health and Safety program, in addition the Security and Environmental policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing implementation of all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs and all the respective processes
  • Health and safety program
  • Responsible for First Aid & WHMIS Programs
  • Responsible for Transportation of Dangerous Goods Program
  • Responsible for Emergency Management Program, including conducting required drills
  • Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and applicable standards to ensure compliance
  • Provide Supervisors with the support and training necessary to carry out their OHS responsibilities
  • Act as Management representative for Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS)
  • Act as Employer representative to Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
  • Chair quarterly management reviews of the JHSC
  • Conduct annual review of OHSMS
  • Regularly review and maintain OHS Documented Information
  • Prepare OHS Policies, Plans, Objectives & Targets
  • Measure performance of the OHS program and report results
  • Prepare the OHSMS to meet OHSMS audit standards as directed (e.g. COR, BS OSHAS 18001, ISO 45001)
  • Support development of Site Safety Management Plans for offsite locations
  • Responsible for incident investigations and filing required reports with OHS authorities
  • Lead or participate in Job Hazard Assessments, as requested
  • Develop Exposure Control Plans as warranted
  • Participate in the development of Safe Work Procedures as requested
  • Conduct Supplier/Contractor HSE audits
  • Security Program
  • Responsible for security program as Company Security Officer (CSO)
  • Develop and implement corporate security policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Environmental Program
  • Develop and implement corporate environmental policies, protocols, and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

  • Formal education in OHS or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a professional OHS role
  • Strong knowledge of general industry and/or manufacturing OHS standards and management system and the ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of provincial and federal OHS regulations
  • Previous experience in a projectized work environment : 15years
  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Previous experience working as a security manager, officer, or other securityrelated leadership role
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Technical & Software Skill Requirements

  • Previous experience in supervisory capacity: minimum 5 years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly selfmotivated & directed, with a keen attention to detail
  • Passionate about OHS performance improvement and have experience developing and delivering OHS solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Able to prioritize & execute tasks in a highpressure environment
  • Strong teambuilding skills, with an ability to collaborate with a variety of team members

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Armed forces experience
  • CRSP and/or CSP certification
  • Ability to perform under stressful conditions
