Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our busy team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including general dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use
- Take and develop dental xrays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and posttreatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental software such as Dentrix
Qualifications:
- completion of a dental assistant program required, level II preferred
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic dental software such as Dentrix
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic dental software such as Dentrix
