    Senior Art Director (Creative Team)(Department )

    We Are Social is looking for an Art Director for our Toronto office who can create concepts and campaigns, inspired by moments in culture, to create disruptive ideas. We need someone who can move beyond traditional advertising to apply big concept thinking to a social and digital future.

    You'll work closely with a copywriting partner. If you already have one, amazing.

    If not, that's fine too.

    What does the role involve?

  • Delivering concepts that resonate on a global or national level
  • Executing at a high level; delivering strong stories and considered craft, at all times
  • Being proactive. Not waiting for a brief; providing creative solutions for clients and inspiring others to do the same. If you have a good idea, you'll put it forward.
  • Ideate and execute against cultural and behavioural trends
  • Nurture relationships across the business, whether it's with strategy, client service, or production
  • Work alongside the Strategy and Research & Insights teams to sharpen your ideas based on cultural behaviours and relevant data.
  • What are we looking for?

  • 6+ years experience working in a creative agency
  • A passion for advertising, culture, creativity, design, content, and social media
  • Someone who's curious about platform changes, functionality, emerging platforms, gaming, blockchain, and web3
  • A background in global brand work preferred
  • Solid creative skills: you can art direct, concept, and present; you're comfortable making content from beginning to end and giving and taking feedback
  • You'll concept big campaign ideas, oversee campaign look and feel, convey a concise vision, and are obsessed with all things visual arts and craft
  • Solid people skills: you work and communicate well with others, you can direct and delegate as needed, and you're comfortable leading by example
  • An ability t o tap into fast-moving culture: spot trends, notice behavior, and dig for insights, then translate them into brand opportunities
