A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users.

Programs range from surgical and specialty care to home care, and include laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information include acute care, MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.


The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.


About the Role:


The intermediate business analyst role is responsible for supporting the Surgical & Specialty Care program, which will deploy and manage a variety of services and solutions.


As part of the virtual care team, you will develop and monitor data quality metrics, develop standard work and engage with stakeholders both internally and externally.


You will be expected to:
- support initiatives, including gathering, prioritizing and managing business requirements
- provide clear and concise documentation and generally support implementation, training, and incident management
- demonstrate a passion for customer service and an aptitude for problem solving; understand issues, client perspectives, and communicate that to others.


A key to success in this role is building strong relationships, having a strong customer focus, a knack for solving IT problems, and making connections (knowing who else to involve and when).

To make that happen, you will be assisting in gathering, understanding and documenting business processes, the requirements and specifications needed to implement IT Interfaces that will enable the business to achieve its goals.

You will demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, technology driven environment.

Proven experience and skills in effective communication, problem solving, documentation standards, and a rigor for change management protocols and quality control are an asset.

What we are looking for:


The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related area of study.

An IIBA Certification in Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA); or certification from an equivalent program will also be accepted in addition or in replace of the above requirements.

In addition to educational requirements, you will have 3 years of experience working within an integrated IT/Health support environment.

  • Knowledge of database concepts, theories and principles;
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis and solution design principles;
  • Health sector related business knowledge is required; and
  • A strong technical background, experience with facilitation and training.
  • ITIL Certification is considered an asset.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional designation is an asset.
