Description

Done Rite Fire Protection Inc is currently searching for a sprinkler fitter apprentice to add to our team.

A key applicant will be skilled in the following:

Sprinkler installations
Sprinkler service
Deficiency repairs
Assist journey persons with installations of fire sprinkler systems
Provide assistance on fire alarm and sprinkler inspections
Assist in general shop duties

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, fault finding and inspections of fire sprinkler systems
Perform inspections and service on all makes and models of fire sprinkler equipment
Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner
Provide technical support to customers as needed
Provide operational training to endusers
Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
Potential to work overtime hours and out of town work

Qualifications:

Requirements and Skills:

Technicians must have 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Sprinkler industry
Safety tickets such as Fall arrest, Confined space, lift training, first aid, etc. will be an asset
Currently enrolled in a sprinkler apprenticeship as a 2nd or third year apprentice
Ability to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 45lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (Class 5 licence)
Competency in basic computer skills is required
