EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Permanent Part -Time (approximately 21hrs/week)

REPORTING TO:

Manager/Deputy Chief - Logistics and Standards

UNION AFFILIATION:

WAGE RANGE:

$ $49.60/hr

Reporting to the Manager of Logistics & Standards, the Emergency Management Coordinator implements the emergency management program activities for the County of Oxford as required under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and Long-Term Care Homes Act.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree or Ontario College Diploma and a graduate of a recognized postgraduate certificate program in Emergency Management.
Five years' municipal emergency management experience, which includes demonstrated leadership ability.
Knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to the implementation of emergency management programs to address municipal and public health emergencies.
Demonstrated skills and abilities working with community partners.
Effective project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitation skills, and presentation skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
Proven ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
Strong computer knowledge with Microsoft Office
