Who we are

We invite you to join the Parks NB team You will have the opportunity to work at one of the most beautiful beaches in North America with the warmest salt water in Canada. Parlee Beach also holds international Blue Flag certification. The campground is located on well-developed grounds with over 210 sites.

What you will do

Reporting to the Park Maintenance Supervisor of Parlee Beach Provincial Park, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Performing manual labour such as making minor repairs or assisting with maintenance work using tools of the trade
Operating light motor vehicles in the transport of individuals, supplies, construction and maintenance materials, etc.
Cleaning, minor maintenance and general care of grounds
Loading and unloading and performing the necessary manual operation in connection with material being hauled; maintaining records of quantities delivered and picked up and performing related clerical tasks
Using chainsaws, thinning saws and pole saws to clean brush
Performing other tasks, as required

Work Environment

Working evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts and variable hours

Need to have

Completion of Grade 10
Experience in labour work including the use and maintenance of tools and equipment
Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Written and spoken competence in English is required

Nice to have

Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training

Wage

$21.87 per hour
