We are currently recruiting for aTechnical Operations Assistant to work out of our Edmonton, Alberta Facility.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a total compensation plan including:

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical information to senior managers, project managers, and sales personnel.
- Determine waste characterization and classification and generate waste profiles.
- Develop disposal and recycling outlets ensuring environmental compliance, cost reduction, service, and contractual requirements.
- Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to regulating authorities
- Ensure applicable date is tracked and uptodate for daily and weekly facility reports
- Process outgoing waste profiles with recycling and disposal facilities and landfills
- Create and submit Provision for Disposal and Product for Sale Reports
- Ensure documentation regarding Operations Facility Inspections are according to company standards such as Purchase Orders, invoice approvals, job tracking sheets to ensure billing in a timely manner
- Monitor incoming materials for compliance, determine load acceptance or rejection criteria; and rectify discrepancies
- Maintain department inventory database, reports, registers, transfer books and logs
- Coordinate delivery of outgoing materials with scheduling to ensure timely movement
- Measure the requirements of the facility permit against department operations and ensure compliance
- Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, industry standards and legislative requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience in a related role an asset
- Postsecondary education in chemistry, chemical technology, or related discipline
- Working knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous waste
- Working knowledge Environmental and Waste Management legislation
- Working knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
- Strong analytical skills and professional judgement
- Exceptional ability to work independently
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
