Job summary
The Emergency Services & Security Department provides security services at Stelco's plant in Hamilton, Ontario.The department includes access control, investigations, surveillance, loss prevention fire suppression inspections repairs sprinkler systems fire alarms fire extinguishers confined space rescue high angle rope rescue elevator rescue auto extrication emergency medical services
Responsibilities
- control access/egress in and out of the plant ensure only authorized individuals enter the plant verification of plant passes to ensure valid and authorized random vehicle spot checks provide safe direction to visitors and contractors ensuring they follow safety guidelines enforce company policies protection of individuals within the facility ensure vehicles go through radiation detectors as required provide training and aid to new employees
