Job summary
The Buyer is responsible for assisting the SCM Department in the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role supports all purchasing activities, from creating purchase orders to maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.Responsibilities
- Be a Courageous Safety Leader through promotion and adherence to established Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs) accurately and timely using Teck's ERP system
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, coordinating with warehouse and production teams.
