Position Summary
As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management the Administrative Assistant III acts as a facilitator and key resource for the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management (DAPM) on clinical anesthesia scheduling and administrative matters across UHN and Women's College Hospital.
Coordinates departmental clinical scheduling and administrative activities.
Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the office.
Provides support with financial activities.
Provides support with special projects, as assigned and/or requested
Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention's of the Act, in a timely manner.
QualificationsAt Minimum, completion of a 2-year community college program in health care administration or recognized equivalent required.
Business, organization or management training at the college or university level preferred.
At minimum over 4 years up to and include 6 years practical and related experience and/or 2 years on the job training required.
Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment required.Excellent organization and time management skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
Ability to work independently and as a team player required.
