ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

TEMPORARY, FULL-TIME (8 MONTHS)

About the position:

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant who is responsible for performing all program and administrative functions efficiently, ensuring continuity and confidentiality of information.

Duties may include receiving and directing telephone calls, visitors, clients, and exceptional customer service.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, and various office programs for data entry and report generation, agendas, minutes of meetings, letters, reports and adapting of resource materials and printing.

Experience in Ministry software programs such as CCM, CovaxON, Profile, Panorama would be considered an asset. Working hours may vary to support community needs.


Qualifications and Competencies:


  • Post-Secondary diploma in office administration or equivalent, plus vocational, or specialized training
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook is required.
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Must have a courteous, friendly, flexible, and selfstarting attitude.
  • Proven ability to work independently under mínimal supervision in a fastpaced customer service environment.
  • Demonstrates effective handling of personal contacts with management, other staff, with members of other organizations, clients and with the public.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills are also necessary.
  • A valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable vehicle access.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID19 and are able to provide proof on immunization.
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with ONA Allied Collective Agreement.

Salary range:
$24.47 /hr - $29.51 /hr. Opportunity to opt-in to OMERS pension program.
