Job Purpose:


Working as part of the Offering Fulfillment team, the People Leader, Supporter Centric Marketing is responsible for providing oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.


Using their functional knowledge and familiarity with omni-channel marketing, personal coaching, prioritization, and conflict resolution, the People Leader will ensure that team performance is optimal and consistently improving based on data and individual growth.


The People Leader, Supporter Centric Marketing supports the overall vision for the Support Centric team at World Vision Canada (WVC) by nourishing team growth, managing morale, education, risk, and providing ongoing mentorship.


Responsibilities:


  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
  • Act as primary escalation point for reporting staff.
  • Work with People & Culture staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Manage change within teams such as team changes, new team members, process updates, etc
  • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
  • Partner with leaders across the department to deliver regular feedback to staff
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for people to work together effectively and enable each employee and the department to succeed.
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition with the assistance of People & Culture, when necessary.
  • Manage inter
- and intra
- team conflicts through direct issue resolution approaches.

  • Appropriately communicate organization information.

Qualifications:


  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing, Media or similar discipline. (preferred)
  • 810 years of relevant experience in Marketing / Media
  • 5+ years experience in people management
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and develop teams.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, problemsolve, promote crossfunctional collaboration and teamwork.
  • Understanding of web/mobile landscape
  • Experience working directly with internal/external clients in a facetoface environment
  • Experience working with and managing agencies and external vendors
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of development process and project management is an asset
  • Understanding and experience working with/in Agile methodology is an asset.
