Join the Policy Results and Operations team, where we are a key partner to the Department of Housing, to Infrastructure and to Communities.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the preparation of briefing notes and materials, decks and processes to support policy advice to address the housing needs of Canadians.
- Liaise and maintain strong relationships with CMHC's portfolio department, the Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, on a wide variety of requests related to housing policy and government interventions
- Collect, analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources to provide management with input on specific housing policies and other public policy topics.
- Support efficiency in the daytoday business of the sector and other partners through coordination and collaboration on a wide variety of policy documents
What you Should Have
- An undergraduate degree in Social Science, Public Policy or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years' experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative analysis to provide advice on housing policies, programs and strategies.
- Demonstrated communication and writing skills to effectively and succinctly present policy considerations, positions and proposals through briefing notes, decks, correspondence, policy papers and other materials.
- Exceptional organization, prioritization and problemsolving skills.
- A good understanding of organizational structures and how to navigate them.
- Experience using tact and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive issues.
- The ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with external stakeholders.
- The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- The ability to take initiative and work independently in individual projects, as well as ability to work in a team environment.
