Part-time - Winter 2023
Guelph Marlins Aquatic Club is seeking multiple Part-Time Swim Lessons Instructors for our learn to swim program. This position will consist of in-water instructing 2-15 hours per week, depending on your availability.

GMAC is a Non Profit swim club that has between swimmers registered throughout the fall, winter, spring, and summer sessions.

Seeking enthusiastic instructors


Responsibilities:

• Must be available to instruct after school/evenings and/or Sundays available for January to beginning of March session
• And if interested continue for end of March end of May session
• Work with developmental group/learn to swim swimmers from age 3 to 1
• Instruct swimmers on proper swimming technique as per criteria set out by group
• Create positive fun environment encouraging swimmers passion for the sport of swimming
• Establish positive professional relationship with swimmers, parents and other coaches
• Preforms other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• NCCP skills coach ( previously level 1) an asset but not necessary
• City Instructor certification an asset but not necessary
• All certifications are current and in good standing with or willingness to train in order to hold position.
• Has knowledge of technical and training aspects of competitive swimming.
• Ability to communicate with swimmers, staff and parents is a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and in team environment
• Must pass all appropriate background checks

Experience in competitive swimming/coaching/instructing/lessons preferred Training can be provided in order to receive proper status for coaching.

Seeking staff for Mondays 4-6pm, Tuesdays 5-8pm, Wednesdays 4-6pm, Fridays 615-8pm, Sundays 8am-145pm (or partial shift)

Part-time, Temporary

$17.00-$18.00 per hour dependent on experience

Location:
UofG pool Mondays and/or Victor Davis Pool all other days.
