Description

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate transportation activities, including planning, scheduling, and tracking of shipments
  • Supervise and manage transportation personnel to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any transportationrelated issues
  • Monitor and analyze transportation costs to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Manage materials management and procurement processes to ensure adequate inventory levels
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and streamline distribution processes
  • Oversee the use of forklifts and other equipment to load and unload shipments

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in transportation coordination or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of 3PL (thirdparty logistics) operations and warehouse distribution processes
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and other transportation software systems
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in budgeting and cost analysis to optimize transportation expenses

Salary:
$36,050.11-$66,158.64 per year

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:


  • Logistics: 2 years (preferred)
