Glazier (NOC 7292)

Niki Design Glass is hiring an experienced Glazier commercial and residential for full time employment. We offer a competitive salary and benefits (performance salary review within 3 months)


Job duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required
• Fasten glass panes into wood sashes or frames with clips, points, or moldings, adding weather seals or putty around pane edges to seal joints
• Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of building
• Install, fit, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in industrial, institutional and commercial buildings
• Drive trucks to installation sites and load, unload and arrange glass or mirrors glass equipment, or tools onto delivery trucks
• Move furniture to clear work sites and cover floors or furnishings with drop cloths
• Install pre-assembled metal or wood frameworks for windows or doors to be fitted with glass panels, using hand tools
• Repair and service residential windows, commercial aluminum doors and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant
• Providing training to more junior level, less experienced workers
• Install backsplash, frameless railing, awning, store fronts, Curtin walls Un

- supervised with a helper

• Grind or polish glass, smoothing edges when necessary on site
• Cut, assemble, fit, or attach metal-framed for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, or other structures.

Terms of employment:
Permanent - Full time, overtime, Monday to Friday 9-5:30 pm


Wage:
$25.50 per hour
