Location: 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga

Hours of work:35 hours per week


May supervise a team of HR technology Specialists and Analysts that lead HR projects to implement new functionality, improve existing functionality and streamline business processes.


What you will do in this role:

  • Responsible for the development of the Human Capital Management short term and long term work plan based on Corporate priorities, Region's strategic direction and feedback from Programs
  • Responsible for preparing a detailed project plan or project definition for each approved initiative to help create project budgets
  • Responsible for managing the project resources required to achieving each task and project goals
  • Ensures all project phases are thoroughly completed and documented; including, requirements gathering, system fitgap, system and process design, development of specifications, system testing, user training and golive activities
  • Provides documentation and ensures effective user test routines are performed for all enhancements or upgrades
  • Develops clear project charters and maintains an "Actions/Issues" log
  • Manages problem resolution process ensuring problems do not impede timely project and/or operational deliverables and priorities
  • Escalates major issues to the appropriate parties
  • Oversees the administration of system security and access
  • Oversees the administration of system configurations for Human Resource technologies
  • Manages all Human Resources forms development with an eye as improving business processes and leveraging HR technologies
  • Builds and maintains a highly effective team for service delivery and problem resolution by motivating, mentoring and coaching staff
  • Proactively in works with the HR teams to identify, advise and provide recommended solutions on how to maximize the use of the systems to create efficiencies in our workflows and processes

What the role requires:


  • University or college graduate in computer science/Human Resources or related discipline
  • A minimum of five (5) years prior experience in Human Resource Technologies
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered

Skills/Abilities:


  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Attendance & Scheduling system (JBS), Litmos, Parklane other Cloud HCM systems and data management practices to design and develop effective and efficient HCM solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary teams and staff
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including people management, decision making, collaboration, coaching and mentoring staff in a mobile working environment
  • Proven planning and project management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and issue resolution skills

In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga worksite.

The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
