Algonquin Outfitters is seeking a
full-time Bookkeeper to join our finance team (located in Huntsville, ON).

As our
bookkeeper, you will help support our Controller and our group of stores with a variety of clerical accounting functions such as:


  • Financial data entry.
  • Processing of invoices.
  • Assisting with reconciliations and general bookkeeping.
  • Daily input of sales data.
  • Processing of hourly payroll.
  • Management of records.
  • Management of computer inventory.
  • Troubleshooting of POS transactions.
This role is being offered on a full-time basis. Starting wage range is $18-$22 per hour, contingent on experience.


What will you bring to us?

  • Postsecondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field would be ideal.
  • One (1) year of experience completing clerical accounting functions data entry, accounts payable, reconciliations, bookkeeping etc. if it has been in a retail environment, even better
  • Well versed with both QuickBooks and MS Excel, with a general technological aptitude.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • Respect for the confidential nature of the role.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for outdoor adventures count for a lot at AO after all, we are an outdoor adventure organization


We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask & prioritize (while still focusing on the details), follows through thoroughly on tasks with little supervision, and has a high standard of quality in all that they do.
