Job Title:

Principal - Business Advisory Services, Financial Services


The Vancouver Business Advisory team is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to drive the growth of our Financial Services capability in Vancouver.

This role collaborates closely across our capabilities to identify customer needs, refine offerings, ensure excellence in delivery and drive client sales.

With a care for people, this role is also responsible for people leadership, contributing to forecasting, hiring and business operations for the practice.

This individual will have client delivery responsibilities, and the ability to advise and deliver top-notch solutions for C-suite clients.


What You'll Do:


  • Craft and deliver impactful solutions centered around people to support clients in reaching their goals.
  • Engage actively with stakeholders to deeply grasp their needs, foster performance, enhance team dynamics, and nurture organizational culture.
  • Advocate for inclusive viewpoints, integrating best practices and emerging trends in areas like Change Management, Strategy, and Organizational Culture Strategy.
  • Establish nurturing centers of excellence focused on change management.
  • Identify opportunities, communicate Slalom's value, and foster relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with teams to capture best practices, develop case studies, and create comprehensive solution offerings.
  • Support teams and organizations in building or enhancing their career development framework.
  • Mentor clients, work on projects independently or collaboratively, and lead teams to successful project delivery.
  • Navigate various industries, swiftly building client knowledge and credibility across projects of varying durations.

What You'll Bring:


  • 8+ years leading organizational change management, with a minimum of 5 years in management consulting.
  • Passionate about modernizing workplaces using cloud technology.
  • Deep expertise in Financial Services, particularly in modernization and transformational projects.
  • Leadership and people management skills, emphasizing individual and team development.
  • Executive client management skills, adept at navigating challenging and ambiguous situations.
  • Experience shaping business strategy for consulting teams, including talent management and achieving business goals.
  • Clientcentric delivery skills in organizational change management, consistently guiding clients and teams toward successful outcomes.

Hybrid/In office:
We are hybrid but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you onsite that you are able to meet those expectations/requirements

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the expected base salary pay range is $130,000 to $150,000. In addition, there is potential for an 12% discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation will depend upon individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
