THE OPPORTUNITY:


We are looking for a detail oriented, organizational wizard to join our team as our
_AR & AP Clerk__ _**Reporting directly to the Controller, the AP & AR Clerk will be manage and coordinate accounts receivable and payable activities, oversee auditing, and generate / compile accounting reports.


  • Key Responsibilities:_
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges, credits, and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices.
  • Assists with preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Identifies and assists with resolution of account discrepancies by investigating documentation
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Makes deposits at bank, if and when required.
  • Adhere to and embrace the company's Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by following best practices and adherence to standard work documentation.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Experience using financial software is considered an asset.
  • Good organizational, data entry, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team player that takes initiative
  • General mathematics skills.
  • Skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to report research results clearly, effectively and in a timely manner.
