Aquifer Distribution Ltd. is looking to add a Service Technician to our growing team in Regina.

Specializing in water treatment and pumps, the Service Technician is responsible for performing various repairs and service of equipment. Strong technical and mechanical skills are required to appropriately troubleshoot and diagnose issues. Effectively communicating appropriate options and solutions to customers is crucial for the role.

The Service Technician is required to perform his/her duties in compliance with policies and procedures and within federal, provincial and local codes and guidelines.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain, install and repair equipment and systems.
  • Remain current with federal, provincial and local codes and regulations.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure paperwork for each service call and repair is completed immediately.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Code.
  • Maintain tools, instruments, equipment, and assigned service vehicles ensuring cleanliness and good working condition.
  • Discuss various options with clients when it comes to systems and helps them determine which option is best for their situation.
  • Followup on the rescheduling of jobs as required.
  • Conduct water testing as required and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
  • Travel as required to job sites both out of office and out of town.
  • Ensure that required tools, parts and supplies are available for each job performed prior to traveling to job site.
  • When not busy with service, make good use of time in other areas of the business.
  • Assist with the maintenance of warehouse and compound which may include housekeeping duties in the shop and sales areas.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of products and product repairs.
  • Submit warranties in a timely manner.
  • After hours calls may be necessary both in the shop and onsite for customers as needed.
  • Attend all product seminars and training sessions as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience servicing water treatment equipment and pumps.
  • Strong understanding of technical repairs with the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment effectively.
  • Ability to do what it takes to get the job done including working closely with septic and waste systems for diagnosis and repairs.
  • Driver's license required.
