Your Role
Join our team as a Project Manger with the Manitoba team.

We're looking for outstanding project leaders who are organized, have a keen eye for details and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish - on time and on budget.


You're good at building strong, trusting client relationships and have a knack for bringing the right people together to come up with innovative ideas and solutions.

To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in sewer and drainage projects.

Ideally you will bring experience that focuses on municipal infrastructure projects, specializing in Water and Wastewater.

In this role, you'll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects.

Working with municipalities and Indigenous Nations, our team is part of bringing meaningful change by assisting communities gain access to housing, education and healthcare where people live, as well as delivering clean drinking water, and fostering opportunities for economic participation and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:


  • You'll manage a number of projects, varying in size and scope in the public sector from water and wastewater management facilities, linear infrastructure, educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities, and healthcare.
  • Build trust with your clients using your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their business goals and objectives of each project.
  • Represent your clients best interests regarding contractual and technical issues.
  • Lead clients through the setup, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting of their projects
  • Organize project teams towards a common goal and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.
  • Report on project status by means of progress reports, meeting minutes, and other reports.
  • Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for select clients with the goal to nurture trusted relationships.
  • Contribute to planning and growth of the infrastructure services business unit within the Manitoba Region.
  • Peer review the work of, mentor and develop project managers and engineering support staff.

Qualifications:

  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, quantity surveying, business (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • 46 years of consulting engineering or municipal project management experience delivering capital projects for public sector clients.
  • Previous exposure to capital planning for infrastructure development.
  • Clientfacing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q's, tenders and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery models and associated industry standard contracts.
  • Practical understanding of government planning legislation and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, E.I.T/P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local, regional and remote teams.
  • A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations.
  • Previous experience working collaboratively with Local Governments and First Nations is considered a strong asset.
