Position Summary:


We are looking to hire a full-time Project Coordinator with an understanding of, and/or keen interest in, the marine industry—and the self-confidence to tackle new challenges in shipbuilding and repair.

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Coordinator will be responsible supporting the Project Management department with team coordination activities for various projects and tasks.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and support the management of various ship repair and ship building projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and production teams to facilitate communication and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assist the project scheduler to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Support the project team to monitor project progress, identify, and resolve any issues, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project activities and ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets, proposals, and reports.
  • Assist Engineering with drawing registers.
  • Control projectbased document registers and trackers.
  • Support the project team in conducting site visits, inspections, and safety audits.
  • Participate in project meetings, take MoM and provide input and guidance as needed.
  • Foster a positive working environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • 02 years experience in project management or a technical field
  • Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate tasks
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, working with multiple deadlines
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, Word and Project)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
