Our Mississauga branch is looking for a new Operations Specialist to join our Road Logistics team.

Your Role :
You role is responsible for planning and dispatch activities within the National Road Logistics Operational Care Centre.

You work closely with the Regional Road Logistics Customer Care Centers across Canada to ensure defined client requirements are met and/or exceeded by executing strategic transportation solutions encompassing responsibilities for carrier selection, shipment confirmation, exception monitoring and key performance indicators.

You work with 3rd party warehouse distribution facilities partnering with Kuehne+Nagel to manage and facilitate movement of goods for Distribution customers.

Your Responsibilities:

Process orders in KN's TMS and Visibility Systems with a high level of data quality and performance.
Tender shipments to approved assigned carriers and monitor progress until delivery complete.
Maintain track and trace updates within the TMS, either monitored electronically or updated manually.
Administer all carrier prequalification approvals and ensure that only KN approved carriers are used to execute Road Logistics transportation services.
Actively engage in communication with the Customer Care teams to ensure defined client requirements are met and/or exceeded.
Report to National Manager of Road Logistics Operations
Mon-Fri 9am 5pm
Hybrid role: 2 days in office/ 3 day remote (up to hiring manager and company's discretion)

Your Skills and Experiences:

Post secondary education required
2+ years experience in freight procurement
2+ years experience transborder (Canada / U.S) Transportation.
Strong geographical knowledge of North American transportation freight networks.
1+ years of experience in 3PL.
