We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working
Continous Improvement Specilaist to work full-time on our Day shift (Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00) at our Alliston facility.

The following are dress/gowning requirements:
safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)

  • Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
  • Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts

What you will do

  • Identifies, designs, and implements improvements that provide fast, sustainable, and lowrisk/highreward benefits for the assigned areas.
  • Identifies improvements to cycle times, production sequences, material flow, etc. to ensure that the assigned area has the capacity to maintain the supply chain and/or introduce new products.
  • Coaches' area members on process ownership, standard ways of working and to have a sustainable process for improvement.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and provides technical support in the selection, installation and qualification of processing equipment. Supports areas initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (GMP, OSHA, EPA, SHE, etc.).
  • Promotes a continuous improvement mentality.

What You'll Bring

  • Successful completion of High school Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Electronics
  • Manufacturing/Quality/Continuous Improvement experience in a GMP environment
  • Communicates well, mínimally comfortable at the interpersonal and small group levels.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to organize own work and prioritize work for others.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to identify root cause
  • Optimally leads and develops staff.
  • Able to make decisions given sufficient input and support.
  • Able to explain technical issues using verbal or written form clearly and logically.
Prioritizing projects that directly impact Production Efficiency

  • Understanding the resources required to accomplish a project
  • Dealing with changes to projects
  • Devising contingency plans
  • Accurately assessing the importance of each project and managing timelines

Preferred:

  • Strong communication skills, above average interpersonal, small group and large audience skills.
  • Able to bring structure to a team/process so that efforts are concerted and organized.
  • Able to make key decisions in the face of ambiguity, balances accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excels at simplification allowing nontechnical team members to understand the issues. Produces correct, concise documents detailing technical content.
