Job Summary:

Looking for a bi
- lingual (English & French) Business Development Manager for our key clients in Quebec. It is a remote opportunity with a flexibility to be based in any province in Canada.

  • Meet planned annual sales and profit targets for selected categories while managing the business efficiently.
  • Manage accounts that are typically sophisticated in terms of category management and complexity. Can be assigned to complex product lines or special markets that require significant customer skills.

Responsibilities:


Accounts Receivable Management:
Demonstrate an ability to deliver results while providing first-class customer service.

  • Strategy of business initiatives & development of joint business opportunities with clients.
  • Negotiate annual agreements, promotional activities, listing fees, price increases & costs with the client.
  • Create & Present Business Revisions.
  • Get customer approval for instore activity (displays, posters, etc.)
  • Discuss pricing issues with the customer.
  • Manage routine requests and supply issues with the customer.
  • Communicate changes to policy, discontinued items, pricing actions, product recalls/quality issues to the customer.
  • Ensure that new products are listed and that distribution loopholes are closed.
  • Dealing with customer/consumer complaints

Sales:
Use collected data on products, categories, consumers, and customers to identify opportunities and prepare sales presentations.

  • Manage new product launches
  • Expanding the distribution of ConAgra Foods' products
  • Manage the various food groups items applicable to the Conagra portfolio

Business/Financial Planning Responsibility:
Perform sales analysis, using available insights to provide solutions to customer needs.

Achieve Net Sales & Profit Targets

  • Make accurate forecasts of sales volume & trading tokens
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate sales and customer marketing initiatives, based on perspectives and trends (insights)
  • Maximize business investments and returns based on business objectives
  • Business & Category Analysis. Develop & Showcase Category Management Solutions
  • Understand and use the marketing plan's sales materials
  • Monitor the execution of business activities
  • Evaluate customerspecific reports and standardized IRI reports
Management of Internal Relations in the Organization

  • Partner with the Director of Business Analytics/Commercial Accounts Teams for reporting and analysis
  • Communicate with sales staff and other departments of ConAgra Foods as required
  • Maximize all sales opportunities by aligning with and supporting the Retail Team.

Supervision:


  • Reports to the Senior Business Development Manager
  • Indirect relationship with Sales Managers

Extent:


  • Work closely with the Accounts team as well as in cooperation with Customer Marketing, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Retail, Finance & Supply Chain to achieve the company's objectives
  • Liability with the Client may vary from partial liability for one or two major accounts, to full liability for several smaller accounts
  • Works with direct guidance from the supervisor on business planning and client strategy
  • Executes policies and tactics as requested. May have a role in strategy development.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or relevant field
  • 35+ years of experience in Major Account Management/ Consumer Goods (Food)
  • Strong analytical skills & proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good Knowledge of A.C.N. Software
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business and financial acumen: analytical skills, agility with the client's income statement, business management planning, monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Ability to make recommendations for solutions based on information obtained and analyzed by previously mentioned systems
