The Role


The Branch Manager will oversee all rentals, parts, sales, and service functions as well as related customer product support functions for Crown lifts for his/her branch.

The incumbent will ensure consistent and profitable programs for the sale and delivery of quality products and services to customers in his/her branch.

This position is accountable to the General Manager Branch Operations and is primarily responsible for reporting, analytics, trending, and overall efficiency of branch operations including but not limited to productivity, utilization, consistency, and profitability.


  • Responsible for developing a team committed to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and best in class "customer experience". This is achieved through the hiring, promotion, development of existing personnel and recruitment of new staff. The manager will be responsible for performance management, environmental health and safety "best practices", training and development, and corrective action, if necessary.
  • Establish and maintain an effective business relationship with customers within prescribed territory through the submission of timely quotations, pertinent technical information and required problem solving whether related to product, service, or collection of funds.
  • Administration of manufacturer's warranty to the customer and the training of branch personnel on policies and procedures for warranty.
  • Collection and communication of market, competition, and other useful information to improve market penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing the sales force with respect to technical, sales and service support with customers.
  • Assists leadership in developing priorities in their functional areas and ensures that there are no overlaps.
  • Administration of personnel reporting which includes any governmental People Services related information, Short Term Disability documentation, payroll and required internal reporting on monthly/ quarterly and annual basis.
  • Analyzes territorial market trends and provides forecast for input on the branch. Formalizes the forecast on a quarterly basis with consolidation of daily inputs.
  • Ensure Branch compliance to Environmental Health & Safety Policy & Procedures.
Education and Qualifications

  • A University Degree or equivalent in Business Administration.
  • Understanding of MRO operations (specifically in the Material Handling Business) or equivalent.
  • 7 years leadership experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Politically and culturally sensitive.
  • Ability to use general office equipment effectively.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
  • Able to perform a range of tasks in a fastmoving, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, ability to work under own initiative without direction.
  • The ability to prioritize and organize own workload in an effective and accurate manner, whilst working within broad guidelines.
  • Previous experience of using databases to provide reports preferred.
  • Willing to take on additional tasks as required and learn new skills.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake training required to fulfill the changing requirements of the job.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Motivated individual with proven initiative.
