    Solutions Consultant – Warehouse Automation

    Responsibilities

    Client Discovery & Requirements Analysis

    • Conduct on-site assessments of warehouse operations, material flows, and process bottlenecks.
    • Gather operational data (SKU profiles, order patterns, labor models, throughput requirements).
    • Through data analysis, convert raw customer order data into concise data summaries that provide a clear view of the customer's operations.
    • Facilitate workshops to understand customer pain points and automation goals.

    Solution Design & Modeling

    • Develop conceptual and detailed designs for automation systems, including:
    • Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
    • Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS)
    • Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and WMS integrations
    • Create process flow diagrams, layout drawings, and system specifications.
    • Use simulation or modeling tools to validate throughput and capacity.

    Business Case Development

    • Build ROI models, total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, and payback calculations.
    • Present financial justification for automation investments.
    • Compare alternative solutions and recommend optimal configurations.

    Pre-Sales & Technical Support

    • Support sales teams with technical expertise during customer engagements.
    • Deliver product demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, and technical presentations.
    • Support response to RFPs/RFQs with detailed solution descriptions and cost estimates.
    • Work with engineering, software, and implementation teams to ensure solution feasibility.
    • Participate in design reviews and handoff meetings.
    • Provide subject‑matter expertise during installation, testing, and go‑live phases.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant technical experience in engineering or automation AND in sales support or any other relevant experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of supply chain automation solutions for warehouses and distribution centres, including but not limited to AGVs/AMRs.
    • Proven experience in complex data analysis using Excel or other platforms, including the use of AI, Power BI and Systems Design Tools.
    • Experience in logistics management would be an asset.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity and use of CRM software (Hubspot), sales tools, and data analytics tools.
    • Ability to learn new technologies.
    • Autonomy and initiative.
    • Organized, able to manage priorities, and thorough in the execution of your work.
    • You are process- and results-oriented and comfortable with accountability and KPIs.
    • Willing to travel, specifically in North America (20% or more of the time)
    • Fluency English, both spoken and written. Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is a strong asset
