Position Overview:
Under the leadership of the Director, Human Resources, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Staffing Office, including the effective and efficient operation and utilization of the staff scheduling system and related processes.
participating in interviewing, training, orientation, scheduling, monitoring of work performance, and input into staff performance appraisals.
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar or directly related position required, preferably in automated staff scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of ESP scheduling system required.
- Demonstrated supervisory and/or management experience required.
- Experience working with SAP preferred.
- Above average proficiency and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- General experience with systems implementation, training, troubleshooting and evaluation.
- Experience in staffing processes and developing of rotations required.
- Experience with interpretation of collective agreements required.
- Experience in computerized scheduling system (ESP).
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Successful completion of secondary education (Grade 12).
- Certificate or diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Business Administration, Computer Science, Human Resource Management, etc.) required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Facility may be considered.
- Working knowledge of rotations and scheduling procedures required.
- Knowledge of relevant sections of collective agreements required.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult learning and teaching strategies is an asset.
