What will you be doing?

As a Field Service Superintendent, E&A, you will perform field service activities according to the work plan specifically concerning LNG/DF 4-stroke driven installations with Wärtsilä equipment, such as Engine Control systems, Power Management Systems (PMS), Connectivity devices (HMI, Firewalls, and Servers), and general Vessel Automation.

This position reports to the General Manager Field Service Resources.

Accountabilities:

Responsible for performing complex and advanced troubleshooting on specific equipment and equipment families in relation to Wärtsilä systems.
Acts as a service engineer for complex marine installations and as a system specialist for assisting commissioning engineer to lead product related commissioning activities as required.
Responsible for performing complex and advanced Tuning adjustments on Wartsila's advanced portfolio of DF

- engines, power management systems and Propulsion Control systems.

Ensures that work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customersite procedures.
Proactively advises and promotes available products and solutions to customers.
Responsible for building and supporting internal and external stakeholders concerning specific natural gas engines, dual fuel engines, LNG equipment like LNGPac, Dual Fuel technology, IASrelated system, WECS, UNIC, LT7000, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
Creating the Service Work Reports.
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
Followup and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.

Preferred MSc or BSc in Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or marine engineering
A genuine passion for engines and automation and a desire to make a difference

Experience with various PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, etc) and SCADAbased systems.
