Reporting to the Supervisor, Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Clerk (Temporary) is responsible for supporting Fording River's health and safety team. This is a temporary position for 9 months with the opportunity of extension.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, who is a motivated self-starter and collaborates well with a team. This person has strong attention to detail and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently is vital in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Assist in the management of site access
• Administrate Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Maintain various databases, bulletin board communications, and additional administrative tasks associated with the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
• Oversee current information on SharePoint
• Support the Health and Safety statistics reporting for site operations and other administrative functions

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in an associated field
• Strong digital literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel

Salary Range: $53,520

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.

Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
